What’s new
New scheduling calendar
The main focus for this release has been on improving the scheduling calendar in TE Exam in order to support a more streamlined way of scheduling. As a scheduler you should have all required information available when you need it, and you shouldn’t have to jump back and fort between calendars. Additionally, we launch a new concept for “tags” in TE Exam which should provide better support for planning and prioritizing exams before they are scheduled.

Booking information
In order to have all required information available when scheduling, there is a new booking information pane on the left side in the calendar. This provides information about the exam, select any exam in the table or in the calendar and the exam information will be rendered here.
Re-sizeable bottom pane
In order to have a more consistent pattern in the scheduling calendar the bottom pane will always be available and can be re-sized vertically as preferred. Simply drag and drop in the top line to re-size the pane.
Schedule the exams
Select the certain exams by clicking the checkboxes, then select the room you wish to schedule the exams into and press the “schedule” button top right in the bottom pane. It doesn’t matter if you select room first and then select the exam(s), either way works. To edit length or child exams, click the three “…” action bullets to the right in the exam table.
Select calendar in tabs
To switch between the exam calendar and the supervisor calendar, simply select the different tabs in top of the bottom pane. Switching between scheduling supervisors and exams will not change the calendar view in any other way than the statistics being updated to reflect either available seats or booked supervisors.
Switch to room booking mode
To make room reservations in the new calendar layout - select the “room booking” mode in the top right corner. The week and the slots will be consistent with the ones selected in the “scheduling” mode. Select preferred rooms in the slot, edit the number of supervisors needed and book the rooms.
Tag and group exams
“Tags” is a new concept in TE Exam where the idea is to manage the fact that different exams have different priorities. In order to keep track of this prioritization when scheduling, a tag can be added to each exam and the quick filters can be used in order to filter on the different tags. Click on the tag icon or on the tag name in order to add a new tag, change the current one or select an existing one.
Scheduling priorities
The scheduling priorities have been broken out to separate columns instead of hidden behind arrows in order to more easily get an overview of the priorities. The scheduling priorities are also links which takes you to the date of the priority.
Access the timeline
The timeline view is now accessed from the left side menu bar instead of from the calendar.
Improvements
Dashboard
Improvements have been made on the series in the dashboard;
Scheduled exams: refers to the number of “planned” students on all scheduled exams
Planned students: refers to the number of “planned” students in all pending exams
Booked seats: refers to the sum of all seats in the booked rooms
Supervisor overview
The bookings tab and the supervisors tab has changed order, the bookings tab is now the first one when opening the page.
Delete supervisors
Pending or inactive supervisors can now be removed from the supervisor list right away instead of having to go trough the GDPR page.
Cancelled exams
Cancelled exams can not be scheduled before they are restored. Therefore, the option to view the exam details page has been removed on cancelled exams.
Child exams in the same room
When scheduling multiple child exams from the same group exam in the same room it won’t be possible to publish to TE Core. A waring message has been added to inform about this.
Columns added to the exam manager home page
Columns for scheduling priorities has been added to the home page in the “exams” tab for the exam managers.
Bug fixes
Resolved a bug where a room booking containing an exam could be moved to a slot which was shorter than the exam duration.
Resolved a bug where a supervisor who have had updated working hours couldn’t be moved using drag and drop in the supervisor overview page.
